Because Cellstar prides itself on providing a comprehensive value added services package, developing new services for resellers is a key concern. The growth of WAP presented Cellstar with an excellent opportunity to extend and enhance their reseller offering, but they needed the right technology partner to help them develop the right products.

Lammtara?s Viewal application provided the basis for a bespoke solution - Wire3.net. By pooling resources, the two companies have worked together to create an independent WAP portal, which offers users the opportunity to completely personalise their WAP content via the internet, as well as send emails, SMS messages and voicemail.

Cellstar now configure all WAP handsets with the Wire3 settings prior to shipping. Their user base is steadily increasing and they are currently working in partnership with Lammtara to further develop both the Wire3 service and corporate wireless solutions.
